Jonathan Marsh has a wealth of experience in sales and marketing, and until recently was Sales, Marketing and Commercial Director for Somic plc, Preston, a company manufacturing specialised textiles and coatings sold both in the UK and throughout the world to many different industries including manufacturers of furniture, lampshades, interior decoration, paper, beds, amplifiers as well as agriculture and the motor industry.

While there he was responsible for the total sales of the company, with particular emphasis on exports - which rose to a level exceeding 40% of turnover under his management.

He was also closely involved with research and development of markets and products, manufacture, exhibitions - both as an exhibitor and visitor - liaising with government agencies and universities, researching and negotiating EU funding and visiting overseas markets either on trade missions or individually.

Previous experience includes working in the carpet and paper industries, both in the UK and abroad in France and Sweden.

He attributes his success to his ability to actively seek out leads and possibilities worldwide, and to communicate clearly and develop good working relationships in whatever culture he finds himself.
